Reiki Treatments for Animals

Animals love receiving Reiki. My Reiki practice includes work with animals so if you have a beloved pet that you feel might benefit please contact me to discuss things further.

Reiki is such a gentle method of healing that animals are generally very comfortable during a session. Quite often an animal will actively seek out the Reiki practitioner in the hope of receiving some of the healing energy. Animals know exactly what they need and quite often when they feel that they have had all they need during a session they will simply just walk away. Therefore how the session will go will depend largely on the receiver and because of this the charges for animal Reiki are worked on a pro-rata basis (i.e. If 20 minutes is all that the session lasts for then 20 minutes is all that will be charged for)

Animals naturally receive and enjoy Reiki during a treatment. Animals are very accepting of the gentle warmth emitted by the practitioner and the vibrations experienced during a Reiki session. Sessions with animals are generally shorter than with people and are partially dependent upon the size of the animal but a minimum of 20 minutes Reiki should be allowed for and a maximum of 1 hour is normal.

Reiki sessions promote speedier healing from the trauma of accidents or surgery. Reiki helps to ease pain, relieve stress and bring balance to mind, body and spirit.

During the upsetting time when a beloved pet is preparing for transition, a Reiki session brings much peace and freedom from struggle. The bond between animal and human is respected at all times during this difficult time.

Reiki for animals treatment prices can be found at the bottom of this page, however it should be noted that less actual treatment time but more frequent treatment is normally recommended for animals. If you live within South Woodham Ferrers or surrounding areas the no extra call out is charged, however if you live further away then a supplement to cover travel may be charged at my discretion (it will always be agreed with you in advance).

Since Reiki can also be sent effectively from a distance, this means it can be used on animals that are skittish or aggressive without distressing them or risking injury to them, their keepers, or myself. For more information on distant healing see Distant Healing.

Reiki is suitable for any animal from a tiny fish to a large draft horse. Having had many pets over the years such as goldfish, mice, hamsters, rabbits, guinea pigs, cats and dogs and having learnt to ride and loaned horses, my experience of the animal kingdom is varied. Since a child I have always had a special connection with animals and love working with them using Reiki. Each animal is very much an individual and I always take this into consideration during their treatment.

With regards to treatment of larger animals, I am confident treating most animals and hold a certificate in equine behaviour. If you would like to discuss any unusal animal or circumstance, please call me to discuss, I am always happy to offer advice and help in anyway I can.

Treatment Prices for Animals

  • Reiki 1 hour - £35.00

  • Reiki 1/2 hour - £17.50

Reiki animal prices are slightly higher as this includes the cost of travel. Treatment of animals takes place at their home rather than my practice. This is is for many reasons but the most important is that the animal will feel completely relaxed in their own home and if the treatment takes place at an alternative address this may prove more stressful.

As mentioned above animals tend to determine their own treatment lengths and so Reiki for animals is ultimately charged on an exact time spent basis.

I am fully insured for Reiki treatments for animals.

N.B. I must stress that, as with humans, proper medical advise must be sought. In the case of animals, Reiki will compliment traditional veterinary care but it is by no means intended to replace qualified veterinary attention. Please also note that the signature of the veterinary practice where your pet is currently registered may be required prior to commencement of Reiki treatments.

Should you wish to discuss Reiki for animals further please use the contact form or telephone me directly and I will be happy to answer any questions that you might have.
